(COSTA MESA, Calif.) Sept. 5, 2019 – Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is celebrating the greatest culinary invention known to man with the fun new Bacon Experience menu, available only Sept. 23-25.

The bacon-loaded five-course meal is a prix fixed menu that starts at $45 per couple, with a limited number of reservations per day at each location. The Lazy Dog Bacon Experience begins with a delicious Smoked Maple Bacon Old Fashioned, crafted with bacon-washed Tincup Whiskey in a cedar-smoked glass and topped with Lazy Dog’s signature bacon candy. It’s the perfect celebration of the epic meal to follow.

Things are only just bacon-ing, as guests share the first three courses. Course one is a cupful of Bacon Candy — bacon baked with brown sugar, crushed red pepper chili flakes and pepper. Courses two and three are shared plates of Crispy Deviled Eggs and the Pig Candy Grilled Cheese, both of which are bacon-infused updates to classic dishes.

Guests will be bacon for more when they get to course four, where they choose one entrée per person from the following options:

Pork Belly BLT: Beeler's family farm pork belly, candied bacon, lettuce, tomato + black pepper mayo served on whole grain wheat bread

Bacon² BBQ Ranch Burger: Grilled half-pound beef patty, smoked bacon, bacon candy, cheddar, chipotle ranch, lettuce, tomato, pickle + red onion

Bacon-Wrapped BBQ Bison Meatloaf: All-natural Durham Ranch grass-raised Wyoming bison, smoked bacon, red skin potato mash, sautéed spinach + haystack onions

Bacon-Wrapped Dirty Dog with Fries: Nathan's hot dog in a King's Hawaiian bun, topped with potato chips, blue cheese dressing, buffalo sauce + slaw

The bacon-ing of the end is the Maple Bacon Bar for dessert. The delicate puff pastry is topped with Coombs Family Farms’ pure maple syrup, housemade salted maple cream, candied bacon, chocolate syrup, sugared almonds and fresh whipped cream.

Designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain escape, Lazy Dog’s warm interior has lodge-inspired furnishings such as cozy fireplaces, ledge stone, a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs and artwork reminiscent of the Cowboy State. Multiple flat-screen TVs are placed throughout the bar and patio areas so guests may cheer on their favorite teams, and a dog-friendly patio offers a special menu for dogs featuring grilled meats and brown rice. Lazy Dog also offers brunch on the weekends, daily happy hour and late-night offerings.
