(COSTA MESA, CA) March 25, 2019 - With the turn of the season comes the promise of fresh crops and bright flavors that inspired the new handcrafted spring menu at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. Available at all locations beginning March 26, Lazy Dog’s new menu celebrates American agriculture with dishes that highlight quality ingredients, sourced from a diverse group of farmers, ranchers and growers.

Lazy Dog’s seasonal menu showcases ingredients from partners like Cypress Grove Cheese, founded by Mary Keehn in Arcata, California in 1983.  She focuses on the health and happiness of the herd to provide the best quality milk and cheese. Cypress Grove Goat Cheese is featured in the new Goat Cheese + Pepper Jelly appetizer served with walnut-crusted flatbread crackers and in the Green Goddess Salad, a crispy goat cheese stuffed squash blossom tops the salad made with little gem lettuce, toasted almonds and watermelon radish slices.

Here’s a look at the rest of the new menu:

Pork Belly N’ Beans – featuring beeler's family farm pork belly slow-braised, topped with pickled mustard seeds, + green onion crumble, served with warm heirloom beans + grilled country toast for dipping              

Pork Belly BLT – featuring beeler's family farm pork belly, housemade candied bacon, little gem lettuce, sliced tomato + black pepper mayo served on whole grain wheat bread

Heirloom Bean Salad –chilled zürsun Idaho farm heirloom beans, sweet peas, red onion, sweety drop peppers, feta cheese + fresh herbs, tossed in a bright lemon vinaigrette

Vanilla Bean Custard - fresh vanilla bean + cream, topped with local hive honey, candied almond slices, bee pollen + fresh berries
 
Black Bean Jackfruit Tostada - topped with charred corn, avocado, feta, pickled jalapenos, roasted tomatillo salsa, shredded cabbage, fresh radish, cilantro + spicy crema
 
Smoked Orange Negroni – available for a limited time only - featuring aviation old tom batch distilled American gin – rested in single malt whiskey barrels - cedar smoke, cointreau, aperol, sweet vermouth, bitters, orange peel
 
Gin + Elderflower Tonic - aviation gin, st-germain , flower petals from fresh origins farms, lime + soda
 
Carrot + Cucumber Tonic - cucumber rain vodka, fresh carrot juice, housemade sweet + sour, turmeric + soda, topped with fresh cucumber ribbons
 

Spiked Sweet Peach Tea - stillhouse original whiskey, peaches, house-brewed tea, fresh tangerine lace + soda

Designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain escape, Lazy Dog’s warm interior has lodge-inspired furnishings such as cozy fireplaces, ledge stone, a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs, and artwork reminiscent of the Cowboy State. Multiple flat-screen TVs are throughout the bar and patio areas so that guests may cheer on their favorite sports teams, and a dog-friendly patio offers a special menu for dogs featuring grilled meats and brown rice.
