(COSTA MESA, Calif.) September 10, 2019 — Amid autumn’s bold colors comes Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar’s new fall menu, with innovative and appetizing twists on nostalgic comfort foods. The new fall menu is now being served at all Lazy Dog locations.

Known for its handcrafted American food and drink, Lazy Dog continues to put its distinctive spin on family favorites. Take for example, the Lamb Shank Pot Pie, which features a Marcho Farms lamb shank roasted to perfection and bursting out of the open face pot pie, served with mashed potatoes, marinated tomatoes and roasted veggies.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Lazy Dog’s dedication to authentic, housemade fare is showcased on every plate and served with warm caring service in a rustic social setting. The new Lazy Dog fall menu includes:

Cowgirl Cheese Dip and Pretzels: made with a wagon wheel cheese created by Cowgirl Creamery using organic cow's milk from Straus Family Dairy and the Lazy Dog Ankle Buster Blonde beer, served with everything-bagel spiced soft pretzels for dipping

Butternut Squash Soup: topped with coconut cream and candied pumpkin seeds

Nashville Hot Portobello: crispy buttermilk-battered portobello mushroom, mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, heirloom tomatoes, almond-walnut crumble and housemade hot sauce, served with sweet bread

Wild Boar Chili and Indigo Cornbread Fries: slow-cooked Durham Ranch wild boar and black bean chili, topped with jack and cheddar cheese, sour cream and radish-onion-cilantro relish

Shrimp and Grits: pan-seared jumbo shrimp served over cheesy blue corn grits from Geechie Boy Mill, and served with housemade spicy sausage and bell pepper gravy

Lamb Shank Pot Pie: Marcho Farms lamb shank cooked in a savory garlic and red wine sauce, served open face with mashed potatoes, marinated tomatoes and veggies, with a salted-thyme pie crust

Maple Bacon Bar: made with delicate puff pastry, Coombs Family Farms pure maple syrup, housemade salted maple cream, candied bacon, chocolate syrup, sugared almonds and fresh whipped cream

Carrot Cake: made in-house with almond flour, walnuts, golden raisins, shredded coconut, housemade pineapple buttercream frosting and whipped cream (also listed on the gluten sensitive menu)


New happy hour and late-night happy hour items include:

Chili Cheese Dip and Indigo Cornbread Fries: made with Durham Ranch wild boar and black bean chili, Ankle Buster beer cheese sauce, jack and cheddar cheese, topped with green onions  

Lamb Barbacoa Tacos: Marcho Farms shredded lamb, topped with housemade adobo sauce, jack and cheddar cheese, radish-onion-cilantro relish, queso blanco and roasted salsa 

In addition to the delicious small plates, entrées and desserts, Lazy Dog is featuring two refreshing new cocktails on the fall menu:

Hibiscus Margarita: Lunazul Tequila, housemade hibiscus syrup, sweet and sour, house salt rim and lime

Pineapple-Coconut Infusion: Wheatley Vodka infused with pineapple, turmeric, Malibu Rum, ginger beer and coconut water, aquafaba and a dash of bitters
